-ROSE-
Rose is the main character's mother and Pack Leader. She is the only surviving adult member of Black's birthpack, and the only survivor of her two parents, her father being killed during a hunt. Rose is timid and gentle, and is far better being a nanny than a hunter, though nature deems she had better be capable. She will always be distraught over the loss of her mate, but Koba has filled a tiny bit of the hole he left when he fled the world.
-KOBA-
Koba is the newest member of Black's birthpack. He is technically Black, Thunder and Splash's stepfather, but only the eldest of the litter and Rose enjoys his company. Koba is far bigger than any wolves the Pack has ever seen (which is one of many factors that made Rose choose him). He's a skilled fighter and hunter, but his parenting skills are questionable - hence Black's ripped ear, rather than proving himself to her. He also has major trust issues ever since he recieved his radio collar.
-THUNDER-
Thunder is the eldest of Rose's first litter. Loyal to his mother and stepfather till the end, he is extremely family oriented and will not leave his Pack for anything. When his loyalty comes into question, he will throw himself into lava just to prove he is still trustworthy. He and Black were once very close, but after she left he turned his back on her as a traitor.
-SPLASH-
Splash, while being the buffest of the litter, is also the shyest of them all. He was never the most dominant pup in the batch, and often was a follower more than a leader, frightened of pretty much everything save for his parents and siblings. As a yearling, Splash leaves with Black, simply because he can't bare to see her go - he has a big heart and hates to see others in danger or fear. His one desire in the world is to see his sister pleased with him.
-BLACK-
Black is the youngest, and the most dominant of the litter. She is naturally a free thinker and likes to do things her own way; some might call her a natural born leader, but most would just call her insubordinate. She does love her mother, and wishes Koba hadn't shown up to make her leave. She has half her left ear missing thanks to a battle with her stepfather. Splash is her partner in crime as they traverse the unknown as Lone Wolves.

Black's biological father and her original Pack Leader. She doesn't know his name or even really remember what he looked like, only that he was a big, muscular presence, and that he was primarily black, like her coat. She also knows that her mother misses him dearly, due to the fact that even though Koba is in her life, her original mate's death broke apart her firstborn litter.
