| Some Information on the Mexican Gray Wolf |
The Mexican wolf is the smallest, southern-most occurring, rarest, and most genetically distinct subspecies of gray wolf in North America. Once common throughout portions of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico, Mexican wolf populations were all but eliminated from the United States and Mexico by the 1970s as a result of increasing conflicts with livestock operations and other human activities. The Mexican wolf, a subspecies of gray wolf, was listed as endangered in 1976.
The Mexican Grey Wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) is a critically endangered subspecies of the Grey Wolf that lives in the Southwest United States.
Mexican grey wolves eat prey very similar to their fellow wolves preferring large ungulates (hoofed creatures). It is common for Mexican grey wolves to prey upon species such as white-tailed deer, mule deer, and elk, as well as smaller creatures of the arid Southwest such as rabbits, mice, and even ground squirrels.
Height: 26-32 inches (Shoulder Height)
Length: 4.5-5.5 feet(Nose to tail)
Weight: 60-80 pounds

She carries herself with a dignified and somewhat entitled poise;
walks with grace and elegance but has not an superior bone in her body.
Calypso has a abundant amount of common sense,
however the beliefs and promises of others seem to shake her.
