That's right! Primitivecall.com! A friend of mine, orangeisnon, has been kind enough to buy PmC a custom domain and ad-free

But what does that mean? Well for one the forum's url will be different. The .Proboards.com part will be changed to just .com, and ad-free prevents any ads from being displayed on the site. Searching for PmC will become a lot easier too as now search engines will support it more than they previously did. This change will be a bit confusing at first, as some of the systems of the site may change slightly, but we do not think any of the forum's data will be lost in the transition.

Things to keep in mind:

-If you have the site favorited, as a homepage, bookmarked or your browser has remembered the URL in anyway it will be perfectly fine. The old URL will still exist, and all links to it will work. However, logging in to your account will automatically redirect you to the new domain.

-Got any important thread hanging around? Might be wise to copy and paste it's contents into a text document or back it up somewhere else. We are predicting there will be no data loss, but there is still a chance of error in everything. Just to be on the safe side :3 (I would still recommend it, as servers can be wacky)

-Do you have any threads/articles/journals about PmC's forum on other sites? If so then you will not need to do anything. Like I said before, all links to the old forum will still work perfectly fine. (also want to mention here that we do not want anyone to mass advertise on other websites, leave that to the staff for when we want to advertise the game please. I am aware a lot of people already have those kinds of advertisements, and those can stay, just don't make new ones thanks.)

-About ad-free, having it just kind of goes to show that the forum is even more safe than it was before, now safe from any annoying ads and spam popups. It has a limit based on pageviews however, so if we get a lot of traffic one month the ads might return until the start of the next month. So far the ad-free is for this month only. Just to clarify, the Ad-Free is set up for 50,000 pageviews per month. For the first month we will be enabling ads if it passes that mark, however this is only to see how many we really need. After the first month (May 1st to June 1st), PmC will never see an ad again.

-We are more than likely going to place the site in maintenance during the conversions, so the site will be down during the duration of the change. So be aware that this will delay your usual forum ongoing a few hours tops.

Feel free to ask any questions you like about the change. This will most likely occur soon, not sure exactly when yet, but we want to give a heads up :3 We are looking to get the transfer started within the next two days, and this does seem very plausible.

I think the staff will most likely keep the chatbox. Not having a chatbox would not be beneficial, and as Lifeon has stated, there will be minor changes, not huge ones. That means that the chatbox will most likely stay the same. No worries. (and if it doesn't, the admins will have their reasons)

Since it will have its own domain, I doubt that the log in would be the same. Since the login thingy is for proboards, not for an own domain. And since the site won't be hosted by proboards anymore, this means this login will no longer exist.

Just type in "Primitivecall.com" in the url bar, that way you'd be linked to the new site then. As far as I understood it.

I don't guarantee anything, it just seems the most logical ~

As I understand, the URL/address will only be changing, the site will still be run by proboards - leading to the game and forum accounts being separate. There might be a slight possibility, but highly doubtful - don't count on it.

Since (to my knowledge) the site will still be hosted by proboards, the chat box and pretty much everything that you see on this site will remain the same. (unless of course Lifeon changes it)

Basically put, keep on going to primitivecall.proboards.com until it gives you an error. When it gives you an error, go to primitivecall.com

If proboards still hosts this site after the change (most likely it will) then yes, I assume the log-in details will be the same.

Hey everyone, just a quick update before I have to go. First of all, it may take a bit (at most, until Tuesday) to get the site transferred. I do own the domain, so the issue isn't registration. I'll explain that in a bit.
As for log-ins, they will stay exactly the same. There will be no difference whatsoever, besides that you will be logging in on primitivecall.com as opposed to the current URL.
When it comes to elements like the chatbox and looks of the page, that is entirely up to the staff, but I'm sure they'll take your input. I have a few ideas for the chatbox as well, so we'll see where those go.
And just to clarify, this isn't a completely new forum. We are really just changing the link. It's a lot of networking stuff that I'm not going to bore you with.
Anyway, the reason I have to go is that my modem died today, and my alternative network was given a global IP ban. So, until a PB admin unbans me or my ISP registers my new modem, I am internetless.

So just hang tight, and I'll have another update for you soon!
