Stating the differences between when I draw my characters, when I write with them, and what they would look like in the real world. Starring my two most unrealistic characters, Shock Blue and Red Lightning.
I would appreciate any pointers if I get something wrong or unfitting!
You can make versions of this with your own characters, if you see them as unrealistic.
Shock Blue
Her unrealistic points:
* Fringe of fur covering her left eye.
* Blue eyes.
First of all, the fringe is my stylistic add-on when I draw her. Since Velveteen looks so similar, having something such as a tuft of fur covering her eye is good for telling the two apart, and it adds to Shock Blue's kinda nerdy, shy character when I draw her. I do not use it/describe it when I roleplay with her and I will not be using it in Primitive Call. Of course, she wouldn't have it in real life, either.
The blue eyes are acceptable because she is a wolfdog hybrid. They might be grayer and less striking as a real wolf hybrid.
I might say that her and Velveteen's facial markings are unrealistic, but they are half Iberian Wolf. The Iberian Wolf is known for their vivid facial markings, if I am correct!
Red Lightning
Her unrealistic points:
* Vivid crimson red fur.
* Green eyes.
Well, ah,
She's a bit red ^^'
Originally she was "red-tinted," but somewhere along the line I was like "Psht why use realism?" and I made her slightly blood-red ^^
But, never fear, I have something for that!
She is both illustrated and described with her red fur, but in real life she would look, believe it or not, something like this:
(The wolf's eyes aren't red, they're just a vivid copper! They do look red XD)
Yep. Behold. Red Lightning is a black phase wolf. Who knew?Well, I kinda did.
She will be red in drawing, roleplay, and Primitive Call. But in real life she would be a black phase wolf.
Onto the topic of her eyes, they might not look exactly like it after me adjusting and constantly re-downloading my own already low-quality pictures, but they're more of a emerald-golden-greenish color, which I have seen before unedited in professional photographs XD
Since so much is being done to make sure Primitive Call is realistic, I thought I'd do this. OuO
Hopefully Red and Shock are viewed as more realistic now. I may add more to this/edit if something arises.
I would appreciate any pointers if I get something wrong or unfitting!
