Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Marasu studied his wolves fighting skills. He noticed Amaya whining over Ivy. “I will have to teach her a lesson or two!” he growled under his breath, “She can’t let one silly wolf’s death get in the way of battle! Besides, there are a lot of other DarkMoon wolves that fought twice as bravely as Ivy and are dead.” “Monster! Just kill me!” a yelp sounded from behind Marasu. A grey she-wolf lay on the ground. Her back legs were twisted in an awkward way and there was a deep scratch on her throat, but not deep enough to kill. She couldn't move to attack Marasu, so she lay in the dirt in immense pain. “You will die.. eventually.” he barked. Marasu watched a spasm race through the she-wolf’s body, and she let out a howl of great pain. “Coward!” Marasu spat. He was secretly pleased inside. Let her suffer the pain. After all, she does deserve it. Marasu blocked out the wolf’s moaning and focused back on the battle field. Few Twilight wolves remained, and he watched in pleasure as his wolves fought on. Marasu suddenly heard pawsteps sound behind him. He whipped around to see a large, light brown male growling at him. “Ah so you must be the Twilight pack leader.” Marasu sneered cooly, “Do you like to see your pack die? Or are you to cowardly to help them.” Marasu noticed that the growls of battle silenced below him, and every pack member was staring at the two leaders. The other wolf noticed this too, and an uncomfortable look crossed his face. “ Looks like we have an audience.” Marasu smirked, “ I guess I will have to make this... interesting.”
The Twilight Pack leader let out a bark of furry and leaped on Marasu. He felt the leader’s claws rake down his pelt. Marasu let the furious wolf claw his skin, and crouched down into a leaping position. “A pup could fight better then you!” he taunted. Suddenly, Marasu saw his chance to gain the upper hand. His opponent's neck was in the perfect position for Marasu’s plan. He thrusted upwards as hard as he could, right into the cream wolf’s collar bone. Satisfaction filled Marasu as the male yelped in pain. He rammed into the leader, knocking him off his paws. Marasu pinned him down, his claws digging into the Twilight leader’s jaw. Time to make things interesting. Marasu thought happily. He thrusted the Twilight leader’s head to the edge of the cliff. “Tell me... what’s your name?” he whispered softly. “ Red Fang” the male growled. “Tell your family that I said hi.” Marasu laughed, and dug his claw into Red Fang’s throat. He struggled, but then fell still. But hatred still filled Marasu as he gazed on the dead body. He started to rip huge clumps of fur of Red Fang, and bit into his soft stomach. Marasu smiled as blood filled his mouth. He gave one last bite and tossed the blood soaked body off the cave roof. “AWOOOOOOooooo!” Marasu let out a deep howl to the rest of Dark Moon.
Suddenly, a yelp came from inside the Twilight Pack den. I forgot about the puppies... Marasu shrugged, who should he send to kill them? A light bulb flickered in Marasu’s mind as he remeberd Amaya’s howling over Ivy’s death. She would be the one to murder the pups. That will teach her to focus more on battle then friends. Marasu leaped down the rocks and approached Amaya. “Check the den for puppies, and if you see any, kill them.” he growled to her. Marasu noticed a flicker of sadness in Amaya’s eyes as she nodded and padded off to the den. Satisfied, Marasu thought about what he could improve in his pack’s fighting. But one thing was for sure, it had been a glorious victory.

To be continued..... (Dun dun duhhhhh)
Chapter 1
This is the story of a young, female wolf who saved her pack, and many others. The wolf’s name was Amaya. She had a coat that was as black as the night sky, and emerald green eyes. Her closest companion was her brother, Haru. He was a dark brown wolf with reddish markings down his back. She and her brother called a pack named Dark Moon their home. I will start her story on the night Dark Moon attacked the Twilight Pack....
Grey clouds covered the night sky, making it seem even darker. Amaya’s coat brushed against her brothers. “This is it.” Haru breathed to Amaya, “If we do well on this attack, we will be promoted to betas.” “Why do we even care if were betas? It just means that we will have to be involved with other things, worse than this.” Amaya growled under her breath. “At least we will have more respect.” he shrugged. “I don’t want respect!” Amaya felt her anger start to bubble up inside, “I want freedom from this pack!” She felt the hair bristle in fury along her spine. “Shhhh!” Haru quickly whispered, “not so loud!” Amaya grew hot as she felt the other wolves stare’s burn into her coat. “Do you think Marasu heard me?” she whimpered to her brother. “Nah, he is at the front of the pack.” he reassured Amaya. A sudden growl arose from the merciless leader, "We attack the other pack on my word!"
Amaya jumped at her leaders sudden growl, stumbling on a few rocks in the process. “Pull yourself together!” a whisper sounded from behind Amaya, “You don’t want to be.... well ‘punished’.” “Yeah yeah. I get it, Blaez.” she barked back. The pack continued in silence as they made their way toward the Twilight Pack. “You hid your scent right?” Haru asked. “Can’t you tell! I smell like dead rabbit!” Amaya laughed, “I will smell like this for weeks!” Amaya glanced sideways at her brother and saw a flicker of amusement in his eyes, but it quickly changed when the Twilight pack was in view. Amaya watched the innocent wolves feasting on an elk carcass. “So thats who we are attacking... a harmless pack as usual.” she remarked. There was silence between the two that seemed to go on for hours. "Why are we even agreeing to do this!" Amaya sighed. Her brother’s tail drooped. "Its why we always attack and kill innocent packs... because Masaru told us too." “Come on. Marasu is giving the orders.” Amaya quickly changed the subject and started trotting over to the clump of wolves. She looked back to see Haru following. “I wonder which group we will be in?” she thought aloud.
They approached their leader just in time to hear the battle plans. “We will split up into three groups. One will take the right, one will take the left, and the others will go straight on.” Marasu barked the orders, “Conall, Dolph, Eyolf, Faolan, Gorg, and Ivy. You’re on the right side. Kurt, Lowe, Maicoh, Nashoba, Onai, and Parry. Go left.” Amaya’s heart sank when she wasn't mentioned in the other groups. Haru was in a similar state. “That means... we have to go with Marasu.” she croaked. “Wow I am sooo honored!” her brother smirked. Amaya was relieved for her brothers support. “Oh yes we get the honor to kill wolves with Marasu.” she barked sarcastically. “The rest of you are with me! And remember, we aren’t playing any games. I want all the Twilight wolves dead!” Amaya’s leader suddenly growled. “Are you ready?” she whispered to Haru. “I guess so..” he solemnly answered, “Be careful ok? I don’t know what I would do without you.” Amaya gazed into her brothers deep, amber eyes, “Don’t worry. We will both end this battle alive.” “I hope you’re right.” Haru sighed. “Attack!” Marasu interrupted the two’s thoughts. “Lets go!” Amaya barked.

Chapter 2
Amaya charged into the Twilight pack’s camp. Instantly a battle broke out between the two packs. Amaya glanced sideways to see a large, young male wolf stumbling toward her. Amaya watched the male’s movements closely. Young, clumsy, slow, inexperienced.... she noted. As the male continued to charge at her, Amaya cooly formed her plan. She felt the hair start to bristle along her back, and a growl rumbled in her throat. When he got close enough, Amaya charged toward the male and leaped over him at the last second. The white wolf let out a bark of surprise, and skidded on the rocks in an effort to get Amaya. “This shouldn't be too difficult” she muttered under her breath. Amaya quickly hooked the wolve’s legs out from under him, resulting in a loud thump as he hit the dirt. The male struggled to get up, but the next thing he knew, Amaya was gripping his leg in her jaw. She crunched down as hard as she could. The white wolf let out a howl of pain as his bone snapped in two. He flopped onto the ground in great pain, with spasms running through his leg. Amaya’s gut clenched at the pitiful sight. I can’t do it! I can’t kill him! She thought in great dismay. But the horrible image of Marasu sinking his jaw’s in Amaya’s throat pushed her onward. Amaya bit down on the wolf's neck. A strong tang of blood filled her mouth, making Amaya want to vomit. “I’m sorry it had to end this way..” she breathed to the struggling male. “Why did you do it?” whispered with his last dying breaths.
“I... I.. don’t know!” she stuttered to the dead wolf. As Amaya looked upon the slaughter field of Twilight pack wolves, a pang of grief welled up inside her. “I can’t keep killing wolves just for Marasu’s pleasure!!” Amaya almost barked to the whole pack. Out of the corner of her eye, Amaya noticed Haru limping toward her. “You're hurt!” she gasped in surprise. “It’s nothing major!” he winced, “But that female sure put up a fight!” Amaya studied his leg. It was a bit bigger than usual. “Sit down! Your leg is swollen!” Haru sat down, pain glimmering in his eyes. Amaya was shocked that he sat down without protest, she expected some silly remark. Suddenly a familiar howl pierced the air.

Chapter 3
“That sounds like.... Ivy!” Amaya whipped around to see Ivy laying in the dirt, blood pouring out of a huge belly wound. A triumphant male loomed of her, his eyes glimmering with hatred. Amaya rushed over to the wolf, with Haru hot on her heels. “Don’t your injured!” she barked. “I will help!” he growled. Amaya admired his bravery, although Haru was being extremely stupid. Anger burned in Amaya’s coat, and without thinking she leaped on the male. A surge of surprise rippled through his pelt as Amaya made swift blows to his belly. Before the wolf had time to react, Haru pinned his head to the ground. “Help Ivy! I can handle it from here.” her brother growled. Amaya nodded and rushed up to Ivy. The grass was stained red around her, and the wound showed no signs of stopping. “Ivy!” Amaya croaked, knowing that there was no hope for Ivy now. The she-wolf struggled to look up at Amaya and breathed out, “I was a bad wolf, wasn't I?” “Don’t talk stupid! You ARE a very very good wolf!” Amaya barked desperately, “Please hang on!” A spasm shot through Ivy’s body, and her head flopped back down on the dirt. “I didn't do what I wanted. I wanted to die hero... but I will die a murderer.” Ivy’s words touched Amaya’s heart. She rested her muzzle on the she-wolf’s fragile body. “You will always be a hero in my eyes.” Ivy gave one last effort to breath, and then fell still.
Amaya buried her muzzle into Ivy’s blood red fur. All the hatred, fear, and pain of the battle had dissolved into pure sadness. Amaya’s eyes started to water and she let out a mournful howl over Ivy’s death. But the rest of Dark Moon did not even stop fighting to gaze upon Ivy. Amaya looked upon the battlefield with many dead bodies soaked in blood. Most of them were Twilight pack wolves, but a few were Dark Moon warriors. Ivy was right! Amaya shuttered in a moment of realization. We are... murderers! She glanced at the white male she had recently killed. I am a murderer. Haru sat down by Amaya’s side and looked wistfully at the battle. “We are the bad wolves of this story.” Amaya forced the words out of her mouth, “It will always be this way. We are the villains who murder the innocent!” Haru stared into the she-wolf’s eyes, “Perhaps... but maybe, just maybe, a true hero will bring an end to the villains.” Amaya was surprised at her brother’s wize words. A true hero will bring an end to the villains... his words echoed through Amaya’s mind. Does he mean I have to find a hero? Someone who will help stop Marasu? She wondered. Amaya suddenly noticed that the pain reappeared in Haru’s eyes. “Your leg.. It’s gotten worse. Hasn't it?” “It will be healed up by tomorrow.” he sighed and laid his muzzle on Ivy’s pelt. Amaya hoped for her brothers sake that he was right. Suddenly, the fighting ceased and all the wolves angled their ears toward the roof of the den.
Amaya followed the other wolf’s gazes. On the top of the den, Marasu and the Twilight Pack leader stood growling in fury. Marasu and the light brown leader were about the same size, but Marasu was more muscular by far. “I hope the Twilight leader is stronger than he looks.” Amaya barked to Haru. “Yeah..” he sighed.

Chapter 5
Amaya shuddered as Marasu tossed Red Fang off the cliff. “Why would he do that?” she barked in horror, “It’s not like Red Fang murdered Marasu’s family!” “You never know what to expect with him. Marasu will show great hatred in the smallest things.” Haru muttered. Amaya was suddenly aware of her leader walking towards her. “This can’t be good....” she sighed, “Rule number 1: when Marasu approaches you personally, be prepared for the worst.” “Amaya check the den for pups, and if you see any, kill them.” Marasu directed sharply, and trotted off in another direction. Amaya stood shocked. Kill puppies? The truly innocent of all of them.... “no, No, NO!” she yelped and gazed desperately at her brother, seeking his advice. He apparently got the message and shrugged, “I can’t help you on this one...” Amaya stomped her paw in anger and hopelessness. She dragged her feet to the den, her head hung low and tail drooped.
“Hey, good luck... and be strong!” Haru called after Amaya. Yelps and wails came from inside the Twilight pack's den. She stopped dead in her tracks... no, there are pups in there! She pictured wriggling bodies inside, unaware of the brutal slaughter going on outside. Amaya almost let out a wail of despair. She forced herself into the den, preparing herself for the brutal scene that followed. As quickly as she entered, Amaya heard an aggressive mother growl at her. "Stay away from my pups!" "Leaders orders..." Amaya forced out a growl. The mother's fur bristled along her grey spine, making her look twice as big "You will have to kill me first!" She suddenly leaped onto Amaya. She let out a gasp of surprize, and felt the wind get knocked out of her. Marasu trained his warriors to be killers, but the wrath of a mother makes her fight like a whole pack of ferocious wolves. Amaya’s mind clouded with panic as she realized the danger of the situation. Just stay calm! She told herself, but the panic was growing like a wildfire.
Amaya felt claws rake down her back and dig deep into her flesh. Her normal method of creating a quick plan of attack in this situation, seeing as she had already lost the initiative. To add to that, the spreading panic prevented Amaya from thinking clearly. She was tossed to the dirt as easily as a ragdoll. Instinct was all Amaya had left, and she trusted it. If she was to survive this, it would not be because of any training she had had. Amaya rolled onto her belly as the mother springed on her and dug her claws into the exact same spot she had before. The pain was almost unbearable, causing Amaya to buck around madly like an angry stallion. The mother kept a tight grip on Amaya’s back, continuing to cut deeper into her flesh. Amaya leaped into the cave wall, slamming the female at the hard rock. She finally was thrown off, and was left dazed. Amaya would have gone in for the kill, but knowing what situation she was in, and how weak she was, it seemed like a stupid idea. Instead, she turned to her old ancestral way of fighting, used by the wolves who first roamed the world.
She circled around the she-wolf menacingly, keeping her trapped in the cave corner. The mother leaped towards Amaya to start the attack again, but Amaya was much quicker, and jumped backward. While her opponent was trying to react, Amaya jumped back at her, and bit at the jugular. She then bounced back just a swiftly and quickly as she had done before. This continued until the mother realized that she must change her ways of attack. She, being much weaker now than Amaya, did not attempt to attack her again. She instead matched Amaya’s circling, and growled fiercely. After some time, Amaya found her chance when a pups yelp distracted the mother, and Amaya jumped in for the last time and made bit the mother’s neck down to the life vien, killing the she-wolf.

Chapter 6
I killed her... she gave her life for the ones I have to kill next, Amaya groaned. Both were brownish pups and looked to be only a few weeks old. Their pitiful yelps for their dead mother broke Amaya's heart. She held the defenseless pup in her jaws. "I am so sorry!" she mumbled over a mouthful of fur. She bit down on the squirming pup's neck . Amaya heard a crack as the pup fell limp. She dropped the poor creature and turned to the next. Amaya licked the other pup, "It's okay. Soon you will be with your mother and sibling once again." The brown scrap of fur huddled up to Amaya's blood stained coat. “Your mother was beautiful, and I know that she loves you so much. She was much better than any mother I could be.”, she said and lowered her head to the pup, giving it a soft, comforting lick. "I hope this wont hurt very much." she said to herself. She killed the pup with one swift bite.
Two bloody bundles of fur lay at her paws. She picked them up and laid them with their mother. "Rest in peace little ones." Amaya uttered to the dead family. The horrible stench of death filled her nose. Amaya felt grief well up inside her as she looked at the ones she just killed."I can't do this any more!" she wailed, "These pups had a future! And I killed them!" Amaya collapsed into the mud, and didn’t stir a muscle. Haru popped his head into the nursery to see Amaya laying in a dead-like position in the mud. “Amaya!” he barked is despair, “Oh no, please no!” “I’m fine you dofus!” Amaya uttered, “Besides the fact that I just killed two wolflings.” Amaya heard Haru gasp in relief and lick her ear, “Its not your fault.” Amaya knew that she should be conforted at her brother’s words, but somehow that didn’t seem true. “Common, the battles over.” Haru tilted his head toward the cave entrance. “More like an assassination fest.” Amaya responded dryly, and followed her brother outside the den.
Once outside she and her brother were greeted with the horrible victory howl. "Wolves of Dark Moon!" Marasu howled, "Today we make a glorious victory, and defeat the Twilight pack!" A few barks of triumph rose from the pack. Amaya looked in disgust at her fellow pack members. How could you be happy about this! We invaded a wolf pack who did nothing to us, and killed all of them! "I wish I could run away and become a loner!" she growled to her brother. "You know we can't! Any one who disobeys Masaru will be killed!" Haru replied, "I want to leave as much as you do, but he will track us, find us, and kill us!" "I know!" she barked, "Otherwise I would have left ages ago!" Amaya realized she was being a little short with her brother. "Sorry, it is not your fault. I just can't live this life any more!" "I know, and most of the wolves in this pack agree with you. No one would like to kill innocent wolves for fun." Haru responded. "Except Marasu and a few other wolves." Amaya reminded her brother. "Besides them." he added. Amaya looked up at the gloomy sky. Somewhere up there, Wolves would be reuniting with their family. "Someday Marasu will think of something really crazy." she sighed , "And I am afraid that will be the end of Dark Moon."
<--- The Mother and her pups
