Sorry this is really dark..I just have a thing for writing stuff like this xD Sorry, turn back if you don't like dark stuff! Also this is pretty much my only story, well this is not a story..But whatever..That I have actually written down. I happened to think of this while laying in bed.
"Sweety? It's Grandmother's birthday today..Can't you bring her this basket? I'll be over later once i've finished this cake!" The girls mother had said, giving her daughter the basket with a few sweet things. "Just remember to stay on the path." Her mother said. She said the same thing everytime she was to go to her Grandmother's house. The path lead straight from their house and to the girl's Grandmother's house. Surrounding the path was a dark ominous forest. This is what her mother always warned her about. Even after all these years she still wasn't allowed to stray from it. Whenever she was to ask her mother why not, She would always reply the same. Saying it's dangerous. The girl walks out of the front door of the house and walks out onto the path. It was sunny today, yet the darkness from the forest still hadn't faded. She walked for a while until something in amidst the darkness of the trees caught her eye. It appeared to be some shiny object. The girl didn't think it would matter if she went in to see what it was. The object was only a few meters away. She shrugged and went into the forest, bending down to inspect the object only to find it was a wrapper. Turning around she found the path gone. She frantically looked around, But it was no-where to be seen. She had called for hours at a time, Eventually loosing her voice from calling too much. She never got any response, It wasn't surprising though. Out of the corner of her eyes, she would sometimes see faint shadows and when she turned to look..They would disappear from sight. Too much darkness is never good for any living being, and after awhile she began seeing things more and more commonly. The forest seemed neverending, and it felt like at any moment the darkness would consume her, but it never happened. It just let her wander around the forest helplessly, hoping that at some point she would stumble upon the path again. This went on for what felt like days. Seeing things out of the corner of her eyes and hearing sounds that couldn't be identified. However she never found anything. She grew more exhausted, Hungry and tired by the minute in her search for the path but never finding it. She fell down on the ground and broke down crying. Finally managing to push herself together, she gets up and after a while of searching again.. She found the path, However...It was too late. When she had reached the path her eyes were corrupted by darkness and she had the sensation of falling. Too exhausted to move, Too hungry to open her eyes, Too tired to make a noise. The sound of her heart beat began slowing down. Slowing down until it came to a deafening stop. As they say...Curiosity killed the cat..
