we all have them, I'm sure; those songs or lyrics that describe a character to a T, or even just those songs that tug your heartstrings just right. well, post 'em here! feel free to include a link to a youtube video, Bandcamp track, etc. so that others can hear it for themselves, as well as posting the lyrics in question!
To start out, there's Banshee Beat by Animal Collective fer me! they're my absolute favorite band and the song is simply beautiful. the lyrics I've picked out make me realize things are gonna be alright and listening to it helps me when I feel gross n unsure about stuff. listen here.

aaand one that reminds me of my OC, Dae! a lot of stuff from the bands FIDLAR, Andrew Jackson Jihad, and Wavves have that Dae feel to him, so I was a little difficult to choose just two for the thread. first, there's Idiot by Wavves. overall, just the way Nathan sings about that kind of childish "I won't get hurt if I do something reckless" stuff (didn't rly know how to describe that eugh) feels like Dae being a reckless guy who doesn't realize there's consequences. also that laugh in the beginning is totally what he sounds like. listen here.

the last one I've got pertains to Dae again! it's Rejoice by Andrew Jackson Jihad. I feel like it really captures the way in which he's outwardly happy, care-free, and all that but in a sort of pessimistic "life sux" sorta way?? basically he kinda embraces everything that sucks in his life, etc etc. again, couldn't really explain that vibe very well. listen here.
